My Thoughts:

 

Wow. This book is fantastic, no not fantastic, phenomenal!

Based on Hawaiian mythology the story follows a young girl, Emma, as she is moved from her home and school to Hawaii in order for her father to do his job. Emma's father is a paranormal investigator and has been asked to investigate a serious case which will pay well as well as test his skills. Once in Hawaii Emma finds herself settling in fairly easily, making friends and a possible romance, however she notices some strange occurences whilst near the house, drums and lights capture her attention but she stays clear, until one night she finds herself looking into the eyes of a 'night marcher'. Now she has to leave her family and fight for her life. Emma does this with the help of mysterious character Kai and the delightfully entertaining characters, the Menehunes!

Honestly, give this book a chance, it's funny, exciting and gripping. I definitely recommend it!!

My Thoughts:

 

At first glance i thought this book was going to be extrmely cheesy, far fetched and dull. I was SO incredibly wrong. The minute we meet one of the two main characters i knew this book was going to be a good one. Courageous Kelly has followed her new husband -Dean- back home, after he vanished whilst out buying doughnuts. However the confrontation doesn't go as she had planned, Dean has no idea who she is. The rest of the book sees the two attempting to fufil their marriage vows and trying to form an actual relationship. It's engaging, entertaining and I loved it. I would happily read it again and again, it's well worth a read and I recommend it to anyone!!

When Walker discovers that the fish contain a high concentration of toxic chemicals, he suspects that the chemicals are being deliberately dumped in Puget Sound. And later, when someone hacks into his computer, he realises it is no coincidence and sets out to find out more about his mysterious new tenant.
However, Skye doesn’t like Walker from the moment she lays eyes on him. He feels the same. But that’s about to change.
 

My Thoughts:

Engaging from the start. Skye Dunbar, a professional buiness woman finds herself escaping to a cabin in San Duan Islands in Washington to try and clear her head and gather herself after a seemingly upsetting and nasty breakup. Once in Washington she finds herself meeting Walker, an american guy who mysteriously emerges from the bushes and appears completely friendly, however Skye sees him as creepy and extremely rude for invading her privacy, little does she know she's invading his. Walker is a marine biologist and is investigating illegal dumping of chemicals which have been causing horrfic problems for the local fish and could cause devastating efects on other animals as well as people. After a few angry confrontations with Skye Walker's curiosity gets the better of him, suspicious of her sudden arrival and seemingly out of character holiday destination he fears she is behind the crimes being committed, he decides to start over and try and befriend her. After a few days they do become real friends and move on to a three day romance, until he recieves an emergency call and returns to his office without explaining to Skye the reasons behind his sudden departure.

There's a real sense of do they dont they, Skye finds herself experiencing de ja vu and is heartbroken, Walker returns to find her doing something suspicious, annoyed and gutted Walker takes drastic action, ruining all hope of a relationship with Skye, when her buisness partner shows it gets even more complicated. Walker then lands himself in seriously big trouble which means he cannot explain himself or even see Syke before she jets off back home, her lifelong friend and buisness partner in tow, who has ideas for them of his own. Can Walker get to her in time?

Fantastic read, characters were brilliant, funny and well written, the book flows easily, which I liked - I was on holiday when I read it!, it's not difficult to keep up with as the characters are limited, which is also something else I like in a book. Reccommended!!

My Thoughts:

 

Absolutely loved it! Finished it today after starting it late last night whilst at work, the characters are fantastic and you can really relate to them, even the ones that at first glance you struggle to like and this is done through the different points of view throughout the book. This book centres on three very common and difficult issues faced by many people, only one will be mentioned in this review to avoid spoilers! The book centres on the protagonist Andi and her struggle to build a relationship with her husbands eldest daughter who, like the typical stepdaughter, very much dislikes her step mother and blames her for ruining her family. We see the desperation and determination Andi goes through to help make things work and as the main story is told from her point of view we instantly connect with her.

This book had me gripped from the start, well written and an easy read, I truly recommend this to anyone.

#9 Cut.

It becomes a regular and frightening occurrence, and Cathy is horrified to find Dawn lighting a match whilst mumbling it’s not my fault in her sleep one night.

My Thoughts:

Cut is another book which I have struggled to rate, therefore this books rating will reflect on my feelings towards the authors honesty and ability to tell a real life story which must have needed a lot of bravery and patience. I did enjoy this book but not in a way I would enjoy a book of a different genre. 'Cut' is a heart-wrenching story with much insight into the life of a very troubled young girl and it opens your eyes to the world we live in and to the people who are not as lucky as most. This book is another page turner, with the hope of a happing ending in mind, well worth a read.

#8 Right Name Wrong Man.

My Thoughts:

This is another kindle purchase that I have really enjoyed. The descriptions made by Risk of the French locations are absolutely mesmerising and the characters are fantastic. The character of Mary Beth resonates with many readers as the chubby young girl who has grown up into a beautiful, slim woman, she remains the likeable character despite her feelings for another man when she is with Steve, the man who is hard-working and loving. When we meeting the gorgeous character - who happens to be a rather sexy French doctor -Yves Malroux we understand the attraction for Mary Beth, Yves is charming, thoughtful, inspiring and undoubtedly the man for Mary Beth!! A real page turner, easy read and enjoyable book! Recommended read!

Markus decides he has to follow Dean around in order to get evidence that he's been killing people, so he doesn't sound like a nut to the police. 

Despite Marcus’ crazy theories about the possibility of Dean not being human. And not to mention the fact that he's dangerous. Mindy can't help that she may be falling in love with him. Even after hiding their feelings for each other from the world. Dean and Mindy being together stirs up dangers that neither of them could ever imagine. When she finds out about what Dean really is and the world he tried to keep her away from...it's already too late.

My Thoughts:

This book is absolutely amazing, when I first downloaded it onto my kindle I was unsure as to whether I'd enjoy it, however the story is engaging from the first page.  After becoming a fan of vampire and fantasy fiction this was one of the first books I had purchased from the genre on my kindle and I'm looking forward to downloading and reading more. The story of Mindy is one everyone can relate to, we all have had that one person who you cannot get out of your head and the person who captures your attention over and over. The final few scenes are especially gripping, I couldn't read and turn the page fast enough, the next book in the series has been released and I intend on downloading I as soon as I possibly can! A very much recommended read!!!
